My fan temp sensor is a dual wire unit in the therm. stat. houseing that coordinates with the single wire spade terminal sensor in the block to idle engine speed down from cold starts, the oil press. guauge is a single pole red wire taped into an oil jounal in the head of the motor which leaves me one wire that is white with yelllow tracer with single pole terminal for line to plug into but in don't know if it should plug on a small valve cover stud for a ground in the upper side of the head for ground resistance wire for all sensors or does it go into one of the water journals for the elec. fan on/off relat. I Tried to start the car and tourn the temp control to high on defrost which should turn the elec. cooling fan on automaticaly, Also turned on the a/c and blower fan on high which should make the elec. cooling fan start immediatly also. Wouldn't run in either scenario so the only thing i come up with is that the white wire w/yellow tracer must be the ground wire for both actions so i'm asking if i should try to just snap in over a stud where it willl be the ground for the two functions that aren't working or is there something i'm missing in regards to what wires do what in such a situation. I hope to get out of sioux falls here by sunday so any and all help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.jounalSingle pole red wire is for oil press. Temp sensor is a single spade terminal in lower block directly below the temp sensor. The temp gauge is a double wire connection that plugs in so one wire runs the gauge inside and other wire cross reverences between the reaining two wire spade terminlal which beteen But i have a white wire w, yellow tracer that is a single pole round terminal which should be my fan cut off and cut in sensor but there's no sensor to plug it into, The elec, fan doesn't come on when the heater is on defrost with blower moter turned on, or when the a/c compressor is engaged and the cooling fan should come on under both them conditions. The thermostat houseing is tapped for three more accessoreis. SO what would the single pole sensor do just turn on and of the fan relay because the temp gauge is a double wired sensor and the gauge works ok but no the three things that should turn the elect, fan on instantly are not engaging the fan run mode. What should i look for next? I think i need a single poled temp monitor which should be the one to turn the cooling fan on and off. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.
