removed crank angle censor do i need to worrie about shaft poshion during reinstall

Question

changed head gasket on my 1991300zx 2x2non turbo ,i had to remove crank angle censor now i cant get it to start so i can ajust timming.was running rough but running until i removed grank angle censor now i cant get it to start. is there any thing i have to do to shaft apon reinstall and does it matter if shaft has been rotated please help very fustraighted been working on car for tree weeks and am so close
