Replaced crank position sensor CLS500 & car still cuts off as before. Diagnostics chkd again w/new part, get same msge.

Could the car not be recognizing the part and if so, what can I do? When car was taken to check diagnostics crank position code is the only thing showing. The car will cut off if driving or sitting idle. Please help.
