Have a 99 sierra, I have play in my front driver's side wheel when moving side to side, could this be a tie rod end?

I was told that up and down play is usually a bad wheel bearing hub.

Yes its a bad tie rod end and an easy way to check it is to Jack it up and wiggle the tire side to side with ur left hand and put ur right hand on the outter tie rod and if its tight do the same thing on the inner tie rod. If u feel ones loose then thats the bad one
