If you replace the head at the dealer 4200.00. slow down the only ones I've heard of failing were running above 85 miles hour  for two hours or more.

Which # plug blew out? I had a 2002 Econoline van with the 4.6L and I fixed a blown out #3 plug (actually the second time it blew out from a cheaper save-a-thread insert) took less than 2 hours to do  with a Calvan 38900 Ford Triton spark plug insert kit...the kit costs around $240-$250 on amazon or other tool dealers online. The kit comes with a drill bit, a tap, and a centering shoulder. All you need is an air compressor,an air ratchet, and some cutting oil & JB Weld...the included inserts are some of the best quality you will find...
