1995 honda civic dx and i put the doch vtec motor in it w/ vfac 2 will vtec work

hay guys i have a 1995 honda civic dx and i put the doch vtec  motor in it and i have a vfac 2 controller and was woundering if it would make vtec work without getting a chipped computer and the car to run right.
