a20a3 engine? Well the main thing is if it is a carb or a TB. If it is a TB then you need to remove the existing TB and manifold off. Find out how large the opening on the intake manifold is and then get a new TB from wherever, does'n need to be new or cost $200+ it can be from another honda with a larger bore size. Then you take the manifold and the new TB and a new gasket to a shop and have the manifold port matched to the new TB. I spent $50 here in Orlando at a Performance shop.
Before you replace the manifold, get it good and clean inside and out. Get a long bruch like they use for cleaning bottles and stuff and some simple green or engine degreased like the foamy engine bright and scrub that thing clean. Rinse it thoroughly, a hose and nozzle works good.
Get a new intake manifold gasket for the head and apply RTV to the head where the gasket touches, then place gasket on the studs and apply a little more to the manifold side and then slide on. Attach all the bolts and ensure that the center top bolts go on first to hold it in place.
Check your manual for bolt tightening sequence and torque settings.
Reattach all hoses and connections.
Double check and triple check all your bolts and connections and fuel and everything. THen go in car and turn the key to on but not to start, a friend is helpful here to watch for leaks or any other problems. Do this twice or three times. Then go for it without touching the accelerator. It should fire right up and then you can trouble shoot all and any problems which may arise.
Clean the old TB and take some pics of it, post it on CL in your areas for sale as a Honda TB. There you go. about 5-6 hours work.
