How difficult is it to replace a lower ball joint typically - any special tools required?

I'm looking at a 2000 Infiniti I30 that needs a lower ball joint replaced and I'm wondering if it's fairly simple or complex.

Not hard you should have a pry bar and at least a 24 oz hammer
